At our 2009 concerts, which closed our year-long celebration of the 175th anniversary of our congregation’s founding and the 150th anniversary of our arrival in the St. Louis Archdiocese, the choir of the School Sisters of Notre Dame performed a Holiday Concert for donors, families and friends on Jan. 3 and 4 at the Notre Dame High School gymnasium.

Under the direction of Sister Gail Buckman, the sisters performed 16 songs. A video of images of Blessed Mary Theresa of Jesus Gerhardinger, foundress of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, played while the sisters sang God’s Cause, written by David Haas based on the words of Blessed Theresa. The concert also featured a sing-a-long of favorite holiday carols.
