Life Choice for Mission
Why would a woman choose to become a School Sister of Notre Dame?
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a sister? Have you ever felt the tug at your heart calling you to serve God’s people through a life of prayer, service and community living? Have you felt the need to move out of your comfort zone and let God lead you to places you never dreamed of?
Maybe one of those places is being a sister with the School Sisters of Notre Dame, a community of dedicated women whose mission is to proclaim the Good News. We are women on a journey of prayer, community living and services particularly to women, youth and those who are poor.
We invite you to consider these questions…
- Do you want to search for God through prayer in community?
- Do you want to make a difference in society by working with youth, women and those who are poor?
- Do you prefer a simple lifestyle and would sharing it with other consecrated women in community interest you?
- Do you want to use your God-given gifts and talents to promote the values of Jesus?
- Do you feel called to give more, to be more?
- Do you feel called to work in a culture other than your own?
- Does the idea of becoming a sister keep coming back time and time again?
- Does such an idea excite you?
If you answered YES to any of these questions, maybe you are being called to consider religious life.
