Please join us in praying this week,
August 29, 2010:

Good and gracious God,
thank you for all the ways you teach about life in Jesus.
He shows us how to be humble,
to reverence the earth and its creatures,
to value each other and to look to you
for guidance and trust.
Give us the silence we need to ponder your words
and to follow your ways through the power
of your Holy Spirit.
As we remember the devastation of Katrina,
we pray for the people of New Orleans
and those who suffer national disasters.
